About the Role
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Excavator and Skid Steer Operators to join our growing team. In this role, you will be operating a 30T excavator to carry out rehabilitation works across redundant roads, service tracks, pads, and previously cleared or disturbed land. Skid steer operators will be assisting with site clean-up and relocation of scrap metal material.
This scope of work forms part of a broader regional rehabilitation program. Your primary focus will be on low-complexity, low-risk rehabilitation areas, including previously mined-out zones, historical laydown areas, exploration pads, access roads, tracks, and other disturbed sites that are now ready for remediation.
Skills and Experience
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience operating a 30-tonne Excavator or Skid Steer (experience in both is highly regarded)
Demonstrated experience working in remote mine-site civil environment such as bulk earthworks, trenching, pad and platform construction, road formation, slope trimming, embankments, rock breaking and removal, backfilling and compaction support
RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations certification
Skid Steer Operator Certificate
White Card (Construction Induction)
HR Class Driver’s Licence (preferred)
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Immediate availability with the ability to mobilise as required
Able to work a 2:1 roster, 12 hour days
Point of hire – From Perth ONLY
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
Experience operating other plant such as Loaders, Graders, or Rollers
HR Licence
High Risk Work Licence
BHP site induction
